We would like to reassure all our customers that here at BPL we are working together to ensure that all the necessary and practical steps are being taken to ensure your safety within our venues.

Maintaining our physical and mental health cannot be underplayed in these challenging circumstances, and here at BPL, we want to ensure you can maintain your health by continuing to have access to our venues.

We're working around the clock, taking extra measures to ensure all surfaces are clean, additional hand sanitisers are available, and the public remains as safe as possible.

We are in constant contact with Public Health England and are reviewing our approach daily.

Public Health opinion is that it is generally safe to go swimming at this time. Water and the chlorine within swimming pools will help to kill the virus. (1)

We’re in this together!

We ask all our customers to please help us to help each other by following the below advice;

  • Keep active – its one of the best defences to viral disease
  • If you’re sick, don’t go – think about others
  • Wash your hands before... and after… your activity – Hand sanitisers will be available at the entrance to our venues
  • If Swimming, always shower before and after
  • Clean your equipment after use
  • Catch all coughs and sneezes – we’ve made tissue available throughout our sites. If you can’t it’s advisable to cough or sneeze into your elbow and wash your hands afterwards.

Further to new guidance issued on 17th March 2020 17:00

We will be following UK Active Guidelines by reducing group exercise and public swimming capacity by 50% and asking customers to maintain a 2m gap from each other, at all venues.  (2)

We will be reducing kit availability to maintain a 2m gap where feasible.

Increased volume and frequency of cleaning will continue throughout the day.

Our bars and cafes will be reducing capacity and offering a limited service.

At the Metrodome our Bowling and Hideout will be closed from Wednesday 18th March 2020 until further notice.

There will be no forthcoming public events in the Metrodome Arena.

The sauna & steam rooms located on all sites that have them will be closed until further notice.

For our customers who are deemed vulnerable we ask them to follow the guidelines from public health seriously, however we will not be actively excluding people from our venues.
